As I stepped off the train at Coogee Beach on a sweltering summer Saturday, the city’s stress seemed to melt away with every step. I’d been dreaming of this weekend escape for months, and the promise of secluded sands and crystal-clear waters was too enticing to resist. Rumors of a hidden beach just a short hike from the coast had been circulating, and I was determined to track it down.
The beach turned out to be Little Beach, a tiny cove nestled among towering cliffs and lush greenery. To get there, follow the coastal path from Manly and keep an eye out for the signpost marking the turnoff. The hike is relatively easy, but it’s the reward that makes it worthwhile – a stunning beach with some of the clearest water in the city.
If you’re feeling adventurous, consider making your way to Shelly Beach, a tiny beach tucked away in a secluded cove. The only way to access it is through a narrow tunnel cut into the rock face, which can be intimidating, but the payoff is well worth it: a stunning beach with some of the most diverse marine life in the area.
The Northern Beaches: A Treasure Trove of Hidden Gems
The Northern Beaches are a treasure trove of secluded beaches, each one more breathtaking than the last. In addition to Little Beach and Shelly Beach, there are plenty of other hidden gems to explore. Take your time, and you’ll discover them all. For those who enjoy a day exploring Sydney’s coastline, a relaxing evening at home can be the perfect way to unwind.
For a more peaceful retreat, head to the Southern Beaches, where you’ll find a string of secluded beaches perfect for soaking up the sun. Maroubra Beach is one of my favorites – a long stretch of sand with plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the views. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months, making it a great spot for families or those looking to try their hand at surfing.
If you’re looking for something a bit more off the beaten path, try making your way to Gordon’s Bay. This tiny beach is nestled in a secluded cove, and can only be accessed via a narrow footpath. But the payoff is well worth it – a stunning beach with some of the most picturesque views in the city.

A Perfect Day Out – And A Quiet Night In
After a day spent exploring Sydney’s hidden beaches, there’s nothing quite like unwinding with a quiet night in. And for those who enjoy a bit of gaming or entertainment, a visit to Asino Australia can be just the ticket – offering a range of games and casino experiences from the comfort of your own home.
As the sun sets over the ocean, and the stars begin to twinkle in the night sky, I know I’ve found my own little slice of paradise. And with Sydney’s hidden beaches to explore, I know I’ll be back again and again – each time discovering something new and beautiful, and leaving the stress of the city far behind.
